YouTube TV has fully integrated ESPN Unlimited, giving subscribers access to thousands of live events and studio shows across multiple sports without paying extra. If a YouTube TV plan already includes ESPN, ESPN Unlimited is included at no additional cost, according to Yahoo Sports.
The integration matters for sports fans because it consolidates live sports content in one place with YouTube TV's features like unlimited DVR, Multiview, and Key Plays all working with ESPN Unlimited programming. Yahoo Sports notes the platform includes college football, NHL, PGA Tour, LALIGA, WWE premium live events, ESPN Originals, and the 30 for 30 library.
However, rights restrictions prevent some content from appearing on YouTube TV. ESPN's Sunday evening NFL recap show, NFL Primetime Presented by Mucinex, isn't viewable on the platform despite being listed, according to Sportico.com. Subscribers can still watch it through ESPN's digital platform instead.
Subscribers don't need to link a separate ESPN account to watch integrated content, though account linking unlocks additional features like ESPN Fantasy integration. YouTube TV customers can also use their YouTube TV credentials to access ESPN Unlimited through the ESPN app.
