A Victorian's trip to the dentist turned into a life-changing moment when The Lott called to inform him he had won $1,247,390.16 in Saturday's TattsLotto draw 4715. The shock left him momentarily speechless as he drove home, barely able to believe the news.
The win means significant changes ahead for the man and his family. He plans to help out relatives and purchase a four-wheel drive, though he acknowledged the windfall left him overwhelmed. "I've always dreamt of all the things I'd do if I ever won but it's quite funny, now I feel stumped," he said, deciding to take a few weeks before committing to spending plans.
The winning ticket was a 10-game entry purchased from Euroa News and Lotto on Binney Street in Euroa, about 160 kilometers northeast of Melbourne. Store owner Lorraine Mawson said the sale marked a major milestone. "We're absolutely ecstatic. The last time we sold a division one-winning entry was in 2018," she said. The man was one of five division one winners in the draw, each receiving the same prize amount from the Saturday, September 26 draw.
