Christos Tzolis lasted only 18 minutes on the pitch in Thessaloniki before pulling up with an apparent hamstring or quad injury, leaving the field with his shirt covering his face. The 23-year-old winger, a £34million summer signing for Arsenal who has started all five of their Premier League games this season, now faces an anxious wait for scans to determine the severity of the muscle damage.

For Arsenal, the injury adds to a growing list of concerns during the international break, as they have already seen Germany’s Kai Havertz sidelined with a hamstring issue. While Tzolis's departure was the major headline for his club, the match itself saw Greece build a promising 2-0 advantage before the Dutch mounted a second-half resurgence.

Fotis Ioannidis opened the scoring for Greece and provided the assist for Giorgos Masouras to double the lead. However, a halftime triple substitution by Netherlands manager Xavi Hernandez altered the momentum. Virgil van Dijk narrowed the gap with a header to mark his 99th cap, and substitute Tijjani Reijnders later lashed in the equalizer to secure a point.

Both nations remain unbeaten in Group A2 following the result. While Greece and the Netherlands focus on their standings, Arsenal remains in contact with staff to assess when Tzolis can return to London Colney for further medical evaluation. The injury follows a busy stretch for the forward, who had played three matches during the current international window.
