Woolworths has ended its popular 'three-for-$20' promotion in favor of a higher-priced bundle that gives shoppers bigger portions. The supermarket said it added more than 10 new options like fresh whole chicken and bacon while increasing pack sizes across more than 30 existing items, all within the new three-for-$24.99 price point.
The shift reflects what customers told Woolworths they wanted: larger portion sizes and greater variety for family dinners. The retailer emphasized that the cost-per-unit or price per kilo on most items remains equivalent to or better than before, meaning shoppers get more food for their money despite the higher total price.
Woolworths launched the original three-for-$20 special in 2018 as a way to bundle meat or seafood items. The new offer maintains that bundling concept while expanding the selection and quantity available to customers planning family meals.
