Cam Jurgens moves to Baltimore while under a four-year, $68 million contract extension that runs through the 2029 season. The deal arrives as the Ravens seek a permanent fix at center, having previously placed three veteran centers on injured reserve and relying on guard Vega Ioane to fill the position in their recent matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Jurgens is currently in concussion protocol and is expected to debut for his new team next week against the Cleveland Browns.
Securing Jurgens provides the Ravens with an established anchor for their offensive front. A former second-round draft pick out of Nebraska in 2022, Jurgens earned back-to-back Pro Bowl honors and previously anchored the Philadelphia unit that blocked for Saquon Barkley’s record-setting 2,504-yard rushing season during the 2024 championship campaign.
According to the Philadelphia Eagles, the trade sends Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Baltimore in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. This transaction allows Philadelphia to continue stockpiling draft capital, bringing their total to 16 selections over the next two years. The Eagles remain prepared to adjust their own lineup with guards Willie Lampkin and Micah Morris expected to assist as the team reshuffles following the loss of Jurgens and the ongoing absence of Landon Dickerson.
Jurgens, 27, transitions to Baltimore after spending the last three weeks playing left guard for Philadelphia. He originally stepped into the starting center role following the retirement of Jason Kelce, quickly establishing himself as one of the league's top players at the position before signing his current contract extension in 2025.
